Accreditation

In order to use the studios, darkrooms and digital facilities members must first attend the appropriate Accreditation session. Accreditation provides a short introduction to the facility: the equipment, rules and tips. Accreditation is not a detailed training session. Accreditation is meant to give members the ins & outs of our particular equipment and facilities, not a step-by-step course on how to light a model, develop film or use Photoshop. Training workshops are run from time to time – check our Events & Workshops page for info. Accreditation is FREE*.

Studio Accreditation

Slots are available on Thursday morning at 10.15 am or a Tuesday evening 6.30pm to 7.00pm and must be booked in advance.

* Alternately, you may also achieve Studio Accreditation by attending the Studio Lighting Workshop, a paid group evening event which runs monthly throughout the year. Please see the Studio Groups page for further info, and the Club Calendar for upcoming dates.

Digital Accreditation

In order to accommodate demand for the new digital facilities, the Club is running group digital accreditation sessions for the first few months after the grand re-opening. This is to enable the largest number of members to be accredited in the shortest amount of time. Please see this page for full details of the session, or check the Club Calendar or Journal for dates. If there is no upcoming Group session, you can email digital@thecameraclub.co.uk to arrange accreditation

Due to the complete overhaul and upgrading of the digital facilities, please note that previous accreditation will not be accepted for the new equipment.

Darkroom Accreditation

Darkroom accreditation is intended for competent darkroom users and does not include any tuition. Accreditation can be arranged by calling Dave on 0207 639 3466 or by asking the steward on duty to leave a note in the message book.

If you are interested in learning darkroom technique, beginners courses are run regularly when needed. Please call Dave on 0207 639 3466.
