City Photo Walk – Embankment Station to St. Paul’s Cathedral via South Bank

The City Walk group meets near a city landmark. The walk will last for a couple of hours taking in points of interest and will end with a drink in a pub. The itineraries may vary due to the interests of each group.

The walks are free to members and those interested should book with a club steward by providing their email and mobile number.

This is a chance to photograph the Thames from two pedestrian bridges and the South Bank.  Hopefully we will catch a sunset before finishing up for a drink at The Pavilion End, Watling Street, EC2.

We will meet at 6.00pm on the embankment side of Embankment Station, proceed across the footbridge before commencing our walk along the South Bank. Upon reaching the Millennium Bridge we will cross over towards St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Depending on the time available we may be able to visit the viewing gallery atop One New Change before winding up at The Pavilion End in Watling Street, EC2.

If you wish to take part in the walk please contact club steward. If you find you are running late on the evening of the walk my mobile number is 07973 218780.

Sunset 19.21

It must be noted that we undertake these walks at our own risk and liability. Here is a note regarding The Camera Club insurance:-

The insurance policy held at the club is underwritten by Aviva is in the name of The Camera Club Limited. That is because the limited company owns the building and the policy covers the building.

It does not cover any activity specifically run or organised by The Camera Club outside the club premises. The club, which operates within the limited company’s building, is a Mutual Association and as such, has no legal identity, each member being ‘jointly and severally liable’ for all assets and liabilities.

If it is a formal Camera Club activity, any visit to the private area of Canary Wharf covered by the form must be at the individual personal responsibility of those taking part.  Were that not so any problem resulting in some form of claim for whatever reason would see all members of the club liable.
