Saturday Stroll – Barbican

Saturday Stroll – Barbican

The Saturday Stroll is a bit like the City Walk except we do it on a Saturday morning. The strolls will be around specific areas of the City and will last a couple of hours. It may end with a coffee or a drink in a pub.

The walks are free to members and those interested should book with a club steward by providing their email and mobile number.

This is an opportunity to capture the architectural features of the iconic Barbican both interior and exterior.

We will meet at 10.00AM outside Barbican; the nearest tube stations are Barbican and Moorgate. Click HERE for more location information.

Barbican websites suggests all groups should apply and provide information prior to visits but there may not be sufficient time for us to submit this information. I have photographed there a couple of times and have not been ejected. I am not sure if tripods will be welcome.

If you wish to take part in the walk please contact club steward. If you find you are running late my mobile number is 07973 218780.

NOTE

It must be noted that we undertake these walks at our own risk and liability. Here is a note regarding The Camera Club insurance:-

The insurance policy held at the club is underwritten by Aviva is in the name of The Camera Club Limited. That is because the limited company owns the building and the policy covers the building.

It does not cover any activity specifically run or organised by The Camera Club outside the club premises. The club, which operates within the limited company’s building, is a Mutual Association and as such, has no legal identity, each member being ‘jointly and severally liable’ for all assets and liabilities.

If it is a formal Camera Club activity, any visit to the private area of Canary Wharf covered by the form must be at the individual personal responsibility of those taking part. Were that not so any problem resulting in some form of claim for whatever reason would see all members of the club liable.

I look forward to meeting with you at the Barbican.
